The Aerican Senate is a body that makes the laws and regulates some aspects of the empire, mainly the structure of the [[Aerican Colonies]|colonies]]' relation to each other (including deciding upon new colonies). While they are given mostly free reign, of course the final arbiter on any decision they make is the Emperor. They have a Yahoo! Group separate from the main list and the Supreme Court's which anyone can read and senators can post to.
