Articles for deletion (AfD) is where editors discuss whether an article should be deleted. Articles listed here are debated for at least seven days, after which an administrator may delete it if he/she decides the case for its deletion is valid, or a vote will occur and whther or not to delete an article will be determined based on community consensus. The page is then either kept, merged, redirected, moved to another title, or deleted.
If an article meets certain criteria, it may qualify as a Candidate for speedy deletion.
If you want to nominate an article, add {{afd}} to the top of the page, then create a deletion page for it via the aforementioned template. Make sure to fully explain why you think the page should be deleted.
